Strategy 1: Inspiration

Here is an example of how to inspire your students to stay on task and keep learning in class.

Strategy 2: Set Up

Always make sure to be prepared in the morning and keep your classroom organized. Students will be serious about learning if the teacher is serious about teaching!

Strategy 3: Self-Efficiency

Teach your students how to organize their own learning materials by using agendas, binders, boxes... Set up daily routines and make sure students always follow them. This will save you time at the beginning and the end of the class and allows you to use teaching time more efficiently.

Strategy 4: Rules

Have posters about rules around your classroom. Introduce your rules at the beginning of the school year and reinforce them every first class after a break. Make sure the posters are visible and are placed at a place where you can easily point at during class.
